CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANOJ JAIN

O R D E R

% 02.08.2024 CM APPL. 43983/2024 1.

The petition in question was disposed of on 21.05.2024. 2.

Though, the prayer in the petition was in respect to expeditious disposal of divorce case being HMA No. 58512/2016 as well as Civil Suit No. 8/2019, keeping in mind the fact that it was informed to this Court that the divorce Petition was already being taken up for hearing on day-to-day basis, no specific directions were passed. The learned Principal Judge Family Court was, however, requested to expedite the disposal of divorce petition. 3.

It is contended that the above said suit, which has been filed by respondent herein, is also a connected matter and it was earlier being taken up together with the divorce petition.

4.

Prayer is to pass similar direction in the suit also. CM(M) 2779/2024 1 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 05/08/2024 at 12:20:26

5.

It is informed that the divorce petition is at the stage of PE. 6.

Learned counsel for petitioner has, in all fairness, stated that in the related civil suit, the trial is yet to begin, though, the pleadings are stated to be complete.

7.

In the above scenario, it will though not be possible for this Court to make in any direction for time-bound trial. However, the learned Trial Court would make its best endeavour to dispose of the above said suit as expeditiously as possible.

8.

The application stands disposed of.
