% 08.08.2025 1.
This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator by a period of 6 months to make and publish the award. 2.
It is stated that the delay occurred on account of non-participation by the respondents from time to time.
3.
The respondent was served and was appearing in person however, there is nobody appearing on behalf of the respondent today. 4.
For the reasons noted above, I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. The petition is allowed and the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator is extended by a period of 6 months from today to make and publish the award.
5.
The period from 07.05.2025 till today stands regularised. 6.
The petition is disposed of.
