The present petition has been filed under Sub Section (5) of Section 29 A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('the Act of 1996') for extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal to pass award by a period of six (6) months.

It is stated that the twelve (12) months period as contemplated under Section 29A of the Act of 1996, for making the award had expired on 22.04.2023.

It is stated that thereafter, extension was sought on three (3) occasions and the same was granted by this Court vide the following orders: (i) Order dated 29.11.2023 passed in OMP (MISC) (COMM) 279/2023, extending the mandate from 23.10.2023 till 29.05.2024. (ii) Order dated 21.05.2024 passed in OMP (MISC) (COMM) O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 435/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. 330/2024, extending the mandate from 29.05.2024 till 29.11.2024. (iii) Order dated 18.10.2024 passed in OMP (MISC) (COMM) 828/2024, extending the mandate from 29.11.2024 till 31.05.2025. 4.
It is stated that final arguments have already been completed and parties have filed their respective written submissions and the Award is reserved by the Arbitral Tribunal.

It is stated that Petitioner, exercising abundant caution, has approached this Court vide the captioned petition to consider extending the mandate of tribunal for making award by the Arbitral Tribunal. 6.
Issue notice. Mr. Adarsh Tripathi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent accepts notice. He states that he has no objection to the reliefs sought in this petition.

The parties state that final arguments stand concluded in the arbitration proceedings. Written submissions have been filed by the parties and the matter is pending for the pronouncement of the award. 8.
Having considered the averments made in the petition, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for passing an arbitral award is extended till 31.08.2025.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
