O R D E R

The limited relief sought by the petitioner is that the respondent no.1 [Bar Council of India ('BCI')] be directed to expeditiously decide the pending appeal filed by the petitioner.

The said appeal has been filed assailing an order dated 26.03.2025 passed by the State Bar Council of Uttarakhand, Nainital in Case No. 05/2011, whereby the petitioner has been found guilty of professional misconduct and his Bar Council Registration has been suspended for a period of one year.

It is the case of the petitioner that the said order suffers from various errors apparent on the face of the record and also has been passed in violation of the principles of natural justice, however, in these proceedings, this Court is refraining from going into the merits of the said decision. 4.

severe consequences of the impugned order on the petitioner, the respondent no.1 (BCI) is requested to take up the appeal filed by the petitioner on priority and dispose it of as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period two months from today.

The present petition is disposed of in the above terms. The pending application also stands disposed of.
