This petition was filed seeking directions to the respondentJawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to release the pensionary benefits of the petitioner including the monthly pension alongwith the arrears from the date of retirement i.e. 31.07.2021.

Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that during the pendency of the petition, the retiral benefits have been given except the amount for the leave encashment.

affidavit filed on 05.08.2025 and submits that there is a dispute with regard to amount of Rs. 1,15,815/- which according to the respondent- University is payable by the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), the earlier employer of the petitioner.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed of directing the respondent to release the balance amount due for leave encashment of the petitioner within six weeks from today.

Vis-a-viz for the amount of Rs. 1,15,815/-, the petitioner shall file a representation within three weeks from today to the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) as well as to the respondent-University. The representation shall be considered jointly by both the Universities and shall be decided by passing a speaking order.

Since the petitioner retired in the year 2021, the needful shall be done by the Universities within eight weeks from the receipt of the representation. 8.

Needless to say, the petitioner shall be at liberty to avail remedies, in accordance with law if aggrieved of the decision. 9.

The pending application stands disposed of.
