The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:
"a. a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction directing the Respondents to process the ITR of the Deceased Assessee filed on 26.03.2024 and issue the intimation order under Section 143(1) of the Act for AY 2020-21; b. a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction directing the Respondents to issue a refund of Rs. 15,04,730/- alongwith interest under Section 244A(1) of the Act computed till date of actual payment to be released to the Petitioner forthwith."

Mr Chandra, the learned counsel appearing for the Revenue fairly states that the refund is required to be processed and some time may be granted to the concerned authorities to do so. 5.
In view of the above, we allow the present petition and direct the concerned authority to process the refund due to the petitioner in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from date.
