The present proceedings are instituted under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No. 336/2022 registered under Sections 135/138/150 of the Indian Electricity Act (Amend) 2003 at Police Station GTB Enclave, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, on 11.08.2021, when an inspection was conducted, it was found that the petitioners had tampered with the electricity meter and that they were guilty of dishonestly stealing electricity.

Mr. Sanjeev Sabharwal, learned APP for State submits that the petitioners are the only accused persons and AR of the respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim in the present case. 4.

Learned counsel for the parties submit that the matter has been settled before the Permanent Lok Adalat-II vide award dated 07.10.2022. It is further submitted that the settlement amount as decided, has already been paid, and in this regard, a payment slip has been placed on record. 5.

The petitioners and AR of respondent No.2, who are present in person, identified by their respective counsel as well as the Investigating Officer/ ASI Ranjeet Singh PS GTB Enclave, Delhi. 6.

The petitioners have shown remorse for their conduct and they undertake not to repeat the same in future. AR of respondent No.2 states that he has no objection in case the FIR is quashed against the petitioners. 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. 10.
