Vide the present petition, petitioner is seeking directions to the respondents to adjudicate the statutory petition dated 20.08.2022 which has been preferred by the petitioner under Section 117 (1) of the BSF Act read with Rule 167 of the BSF Rules in a time bound manner. 2.
As stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the removal order against the petitioner was passed on 29.06.2022 and before consideration, as per Statute, the petitioner has filed a petition dated W.P.(C) 13342/2022
20.08.2022, however, till date, the said petition has not been decided by the respondents.

Learned counsel for respondents who is appearing on advance notice has assured this Court that the aforesaid petition dated 20.08.2022 shall be decided within six weeks from today.

Accordingly, we hereby direct the respondents to decide the petition dated 20.08.2022 preferred by the petitioner within the time sought by learned counsel for the respondents.
