The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that he be released on parole on furnishing Personal Bond and/or depositing a cash surety of ₹10,000/- in lieu of a surety bond. 3.

The petitioner was granted furlough by an order dated 24.07.2018 issued by the competent authority. However, the grant of said furlough was subject to the petitioner furnishing two sureties of ₹10,000/- each, to the satisfaction of the Superintendent, Central Jail No.10. 4.

The petitioner states that he has lost contact with his friends and family and, therefore, is unable to arrange for persons who can stand as

sureties. He states that his parents are of an advanced age and his brothers and sisters are married and are living separately. In addition, he has two minor children, who are studying in school.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner also points out that in the previous occasion, the petitioner had been granted a furlough on furnishing a Personal Bond without furnishing any surety. 6.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner is be granted furlough subject to the petitioner furnishing cash in the sum of ₹20,000/- as security and subject to compliance of other conditions as stated in the order dated 24.07.2018.
