Present appeal has been filed challenging the impugned order dated 06th December, 2023 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.(C) 3925/2023, whereby the cost of Rs. 5 lakhs was imposed on the Appellant for not reasonably explaining his conduct and approaching the Court with unclean hands.

Learned Counsel for the Appellant presses the appeal only to the extent that it imposes cost of Rs.5 lakhs.

After perusal of the order, this Court is of the view that imposition of cost on the Appellant was warranted. However, keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, the cost imposed is reduced to Rs.2 lakhs to be paid in accordance with the directions given by the learned Single Judge.
