This is an application filed by the petitioner seeking early hearing. 2.

For the reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed and the above captioned petition is taken up for hearing. W.P.(C) 8362/2024 3.

The petitioner is a street vendor and claims that he has been carrying on his vending activities at a site described as 13/18, Nazuk Collection, Ajmal Khan Road, Karol Bagh. be located at a site described as 36/40, Govt. Qtrs. Dev Nagar. However, the possession of the said site has not been handed over to the petitioner. 4.

The petitioner has filed the present petition praying that directions be issued to the respondent to shift the petitioner's tehbazari site located at 36/40, Govt. Qtrs. Dev Nagar to any other place within Karol Bagh Zone. 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioner also submits that the petitioner has filed a representation dated 17.05.2024 before the Commissioner, MCD, however, the same has not been decided upon.

The learned counsel for the respondent submits, on instructions, that the petitioner's representation is being considered and the petitioner is likely to be offered an alternative site.

In view of the above submissions, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner would be satisfied if the directions are given for an expeditious decision on the petitioner's representation. 8.

Learned counsel for the respondent concurs with the said submission. 9.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to decide the petitioner's representation as expeditiously as possible and preferably, within a period of eight weeks from today. 10.
