% 06.02.2018 Respondent No.2 Renu is present in court and has been identified by ASI Surinder Dutt of Police Station Hari Nagar. Respondent No. 2 says that she has settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Mediation Centre, West District, Tis Hazari Courts on 16.02.2016. Her marriage with petitioner No.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce dated 09.12.2016 passed by Family Courts, West District, Tis Hazari Courts. Petitioner has handed over `65,000/- by way of demand draft towards balance settlement amount. Respondent no.2 says that with this payment, entire settled amount of `2,05,000/- stands received and she further says that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner .

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No.366/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Hari Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating threfrom are is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
