% 06.02.2018 Petitioner is seeking parole for the reasons mentioned in the petition. One such reason is to look after his parents. The mother of the petitioner is stated to be a diabetic.

A status report has been filed by the State. It is stated that there are several other FIRs which are pending against the petitioner. However, the status of the said FIRs has not been disclosed. The nominal roll of the petitioner has been perused. This reflects that the petitioner is a convict under Sections 395/397 of the IPC. He had been sentenced to undergo RI for life. As on 24.01.2018, he had undergone incarceration of about 8 1⁄2 years including the remissions earned by him. His jail conduct since last one year even stated to be satisfactory. There is detail (in the nominal

roll) of only one case which is pending against the petitioner. The petitioner has availed benefit of both furlough and parole but he has not mis-used his liberty. This is a fit case, where the prayer made in the petition should be allowed.

Petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks (to be counted from the date of his release) on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendant concerned with condition that he shall surrender forthwith on the expiry of the aforenoted parole period of four weeks; he shall report to the local SHO on every Monday of each week; he shall also furnish his latest mobile number and residential addressed to the local SHO.

Petition disposed of.

A copy of this order be sent to the Jail Superintendant concerned for intimation to the petitioner.
