Vide the present petition, petitioner seeks direction for quashing of FIR No.0426/2016 dated 22.04.2016, registered at Police Station Prashant Vihar, Delhi and consequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Notice issued.

Notice is accepted by learned APP for State and by learned counsel for respondent no.2 and with the consent of counsel for parties, present petition is taken up for final disposal.

The present petition is filed on the ground that parties have settled their disputes and respondent no.2 has no objection if the present petition is allowed.

Respondent no.2 is present in person through video conferencing with her counsel and she has been identified by SI Rakesh Rana /IO. Respondent no.2 further submits that the matter has been settled and she does not wish to prosecute the matter any further.

Petitioner and respondent no.2 have entered into an amicable settlement vide Compromise Deed/MoU dated 01.12.2020. 9.

Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting petitioners any further.

For the reasons afore-recorded, FIR No.0426/2016 dated 22.04.2016, registered at Police Station Prashant Vihar, Delhi and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

The petition is, accordingly, allowed and disposed of. 12.
