By the petition, the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to file special leave petition, establish social ties and also challenges the communication dated 19th January, 2018 of the competent authority declining to grant him parole.

On a notice being issued a status report has been filed. As per the status report the petitioner's family comprises of his mother, who is residing as a tenant in Jhuggi No. CN-156, Gas Godwon, Todapur, Inderpuri, Delhi and his two sisters are married and residing in their respective matrimonial homes.

As per the nominal roll, petitioner has been in continuous custody for nearly eight years except for interim bails granted by this Court during the pendency of the appeal in the year 2017.

Considering the fact that when interim suspension of sentence was granted to the petitioner, he surrendered in time and that he has roots in the society as the addresses of his mother and sisters are available, this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner. It is, therefore, directed that the petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of the Superintendent, Tihar Jail.

Petition is disposed of.

Copy of the order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent, Tihar Jail.
