This petition was entertained on the basis of a letter communication informing that the son of Mr. Pradeep Das, namely, Abhishek Das went missing since 20.06.2019 from his house. On the basis of the complaint made by Pradeep Das, FIR No. 84/2019 under Section 363 IPC was registered at PS Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi. Upon issuance of notice, numerous status reports have been filed by the State on the basis of the
investigation conducted by them. We have perused all these reports, including the latest status report dated 12.03.2020 filed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime (HQ), Delhi after the investigation was transferred to the Crime Branch on 11.09.2019. We are satisfied with the investigation conducted thus far has addressed the leads which have been thrown up to locate the missing son of Pradeep Das. We are, therefore, inclined to close these proceedings and order accordingly. However, the Police should continue to report further progress of investigation conducted by them before the concerned Magistrate. In case, the father or other family members of the missing child provide any further information or clues, they should be examined by the Police. The Police should also keep the father of the missing child informed about any further development in the matter from time to time.
In view of the aforesaid terms, the petition stands disposed of. The Police should file the status report before the learned Magistrate concerned on a monthly basis till further orders by the Magistrate. VIPIN SANGHI, J RAJNISH BHATNAGAR, J MARCH 16, 2020 N.Khanna
