This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.

The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner- Mr. Kokab under Article 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking release of the gold bar of the Petitioner, weighing 50 grams, which was seized by the Customs Department vide Detention Receipt No. 4725 dated 29th June, 2024 (New Detention Receipt No. 26593 dated 5th August, 2024). 3.

The case of the Petitioner is that he was travelling from Dubai to Delhi on 29th June 2024 by flight no. IX136. Upon arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, the Petitioner was intercepted by the concerned officials of the Customs Department and the said gold bar of the Petitioner was seized after issuing a detention receipt. The appraisement of the said gold bar is stated to have been done on 05th August, 2024. 4.

date. Ld. Counsel for the Petitioner further submits that the Petitioner is willing to re-export the gold bar.

Ld. SSC for the Customs Department submits that a personal hearing notice has been issued on 03rd April, 2025 asking the Petitioner to appear on three dates in April, 2025 i.e. 9th April 2025, 15th April 2025 and 18th April 2025. However, the Petitioner has not appeared. 6.

Heard. It is not clear if the personal hearing notice was served upon the Petitioner. Under these circumstances, let the Petitioner be given a fresh notice for personal hearing on the following e-mail address and mobile phone:  E-mail : swastilegalalliance@gmail.com  Mobile No. :9717656389 7.

In the personal hearing, the Petitioner may file any documents or reply which he wishes to do so.
