Vide the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, read with Section 482 of the Cr.P.C., 1973, was filed by the Petitioner- Uma Devi seeking issuance of a writ of habeas corpus directing the Respondent for production of her daughter, aged 18 years, before this Court. 3.

According to the Petitioner, on 18th February, 2024 her daughter "Ms. K." attended a call made by the sister of one of her friends and thereafter, she went missing. Petitioner and her family members from 18th February, 2024 till 20th February, 2024 made all efforts to trace out "Ms. K." but having The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

On the basis of the submissions made, the Court had passed the following order:

"5. Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that whereabouts of "Ms. K." are not known and respondents be directed to trace her out.

7. Ms. Priyam Agarwal, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.1- State accepts notice and has placed before this Court status report dated 31.05.2024, which is taken on record.

8. In the status report, it is mentioned that upon petitioner's complaint, missing report vide GD BNo. 59A was lodged and during further investigation, standing order No.18/22 has been complied with. The details of the missing girl have been uploaded on ZIPNET and WT messages containing details of the missing girl has been flashed to all SSP, DCP and SHO in Delhi. In addition, Hue and Cry notices containing photograph of the missing girl have been circulated at prominent places such like Railway Stations, Inter State Bus Terminals, religious places, Night shelter homes etc. Besides, search has also been conducted at Jain Bal Society for Protection of Orphanage of India, Darya Ganj, Delhi; ONYA Tara, Savitri Nagar, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi and Sadhu Sunder Singh Welfare Society, Bangali Colony, Mahavir Enclave, Palam, New Delhi. Even her details have been shared with the top secret informers along with cash award, if any clue is found, but to not avail.

9. Ms. Priyam Agarwal, Advocate has assured that earnest efforts shall be made to trace out "Ms. K." and time is sought to do the needful.

Respondent-State is accordingly directed to trace out "Ms. K." and produce her before this Court as and when she is traced out."

Today, an additional Status Report was handed in Court, wherein all the steps taken to search for the missing girl have been placed on record. The girl has now been traced as per the information provided by the mother which is captured hereinbelow:- "12.

During enquiry of the missing, mother of girl Karishma informed to the Enquiry Officer that her daughter could be found in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. On 18.06.2024, the girl Krishma has been recovered from Village Hebatpur, Police Station Bilgram, Hardoi, UP in presence of parent of girl. On examination, she did not disclose any history of sexual assault. She went with her friend Aansi. She was admitted in one stop centre till production before this Hon'ble court."

The girl and mother are present in Court today. The girl is united with her mother.

In view thereof, the petition no longer survives and is accordingly disposed of.
