% 04.07.2025 1.
This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 3 months until 30.09.2025. 2.
It is stated that the learned Arbitrator was shifting his office and hence, there was a delay.
3.
Notice was issued and as per the service report, respondent has been served. Despite service, there is nobody appearing on behalf of the respondent.
4.
For the reasons noted above, I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. The petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended till 30.09.2025. 5.
The period from 31.05.2025 till today stands regularised. 6.
The petition is disposed of.
