This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 6 to 8 months.

Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to a Contract dated 12.02.2015 awarded to the Petitioner by the Respondent to deploy security guards w.e.f. 13.02.2015, petition was filed by the Petitioner under Section 11(6) of 1996 Act being ARB. P. 464/2016 in this Court, seeking appointment of a Sole Arbitrator, which was allowed on 24.10.2016 appointing a Sole Arbitrator. However, learned Arbitrator recused from the matter and Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) appointed a O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 441/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. substitute Arbitrator, who held the first hearing on 17.05.2024 and the proceedings resumed. It is stated in the petition that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments and since the mandate of the learned Arbitrator has expired on 17.05.2025, the same be extended to enable the Arbitrator to conclude the proceedings and pass the award. 3.

Issue notice.

Ms. Rachita Garg, learned counsel for the Respondent accepts notice and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 5.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of six months from 18.05.2025. 6.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
