By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking quashing of FIR bearing no. 0265/2024, registered at Police Station CR Park, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Section 125(a) and 281 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereafter 'BNS') and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

Issue notice. Mr. Naresh Kumar Chahar, learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State.

The petitioner and respondent no. 2 are appeared before this Court and have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO.

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that on 25.10.2024, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

respondent no. 2, who works as a private security guard, was on night duty at Gate No. 13, K-1 Block, CR Park, New Delhi. At around 10:30 PM to 11:30 PM, he had sustained an injury on his foot allegedly due to a white Hyundai Creta vehicle passing over it and under the distress and confusion of the moment, respondent no. 2 was unable to clearly see the surroundings and mistakenly identified the vehicle as belonging to the petitioner. Subsequently, the present FIR was registered against the petitioner herein under the relevant sections.

It is stated that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter vide Memorandum of Understanding, dated 21.05.2025, entered between them and their statements to the said effect have been recorded by the learned Joint Registrar (Judicial) on 29.05.2025. 6.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no.2 who has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. Respondent no. 2 further states that he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 7.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 8.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 0265/2024, registered at Police Station CR Park, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Section The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

125(a) and 281of BNS and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed subject to petitioner depositing a sum of Rs. 15,000/- in Delhi Police Martyrs' Fund.
