IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI
+ W.P.(CRL) 2438/2019 MR FAIZAN SALMANI & ANR ..... Petitioners Through:
Mr Rashid Khan, Advocate.
versus THE STATE & ORS ..... Respondents Through:
Mr Ashish Aggarwal, ASC for State.

CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU
O R D E R
% 02.09.2019 CRL. M.A. 34819/2019 1.
Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.
W.P.(CRL) 2438/2019 2.
The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent nos.1 to 3 for providing protection to the petitioners.
The petitioners are apprehensive about their safety. They apprehend that respondent nos. 4 to 6 (who are parents and brother of petitioner no.1) would harm them.
This is on account of the petitioners having married each other, contrary to their wishes. 3.
The learned counsel appearing for the State submits that a similar
petition was filed by petitioner no.2 (W.P.(CRL.) 1788/2019) and the same was disposed of by an order dated 21.08.2019 directing that the protection be extended to petitioner no.2. However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, states that at that time the petitioners were not living together.
4.
This Court is of the view the fact that the petitioners were not living together at the said time is not material and the direction to extend protection to petitioner no.2 would extend to petitioner no.1 as well. The respondent authorities shall take such measures as they consider necessary to protect the petitioners.
5.
The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. VIBHU BAKHRU, J SEPTEMBER 02, 2019 MK
