Learned APP for the State and respondent no.2/complainant, who is personally present in person, accept notice and with the consent of the parties, the present petition is taken up for final hearing. Vide the present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing in pursuance of FIR No. 1611/2014, registered at PS -Mehrauli, New Delhi for the offences punishable under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and consequent proceedings arising therefrom.

The petitioners and respondent no.2 with the intervention of their well wishers and relatives entered into an amicable settlement before the Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre vide settlement deed dated 29.07.2019 and settled all their disputes amicably.

Complainant/Respondent No. 2 is personally present in Court with her brother Mr. Amjad Khan and she has been identified by ASI Rameshwar/IO, PS Mehrauli.

Respondent no.2 stated that she has received the total settlement amount and submits that matter has been settled and she does not wish to prosecute the matter any further.

Taking into account the aforesaid facts, this Court is inclined to quash the concerned FIR as no useful purpose would be served in prosecuting the petitioners any further.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the parties and settlement amount paid to the respondent no. 2, I hereby quash the FIR No. 1611/2014, registered at PS- Meharauli, New Delhi and all other proceedings emanating therefrom.
