O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning an order dated 05.08.2019 passed by the respondent rejecting the petitioner's application for parole.

The petitioner seeks parole for filing a Special Leave Petition against the decision dated 24.05.2019 passed by this Court, dismissing the petitioner's appeal (Criminal Appeal No. 757/2018) against his conviction under Section 302/120B of the IPC.

The petitioner has already undergone custody for a period of six years and four months as on 19.08.2019. He has already earned remission for five months and twenty days as on that date.

The petitioner was released on interim bail for a period of fifteen days from 28.02.2019 to 14.03.2019 by virtue of an order passed by this Court.

There is no allegation that the petitioner has misused the liberty granted. The petitioner's conduct in the jail is also reported to be satisfactory.

In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition. The petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of three weeks, on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- and two sureties of an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent.

The petitioner shall also provide his mobile number and ensure that he is reachable at all times during the aforesaid period. The petitioner shall also report to the nearest Police Station immediately on his release and on a weekly basis, thereafter.
