The present petition assails an order dated 28.07.2023 passed in Appeal No. 777/2023, pending before the Appellate Court of Divisional Commissioner (hereinafter 'the appellate authority'). The said Appeal was directed against the order dated 05.07.2023 passed by the concerned District Magistrate, disposing of an application filed under Rule 22 Sub Rule 3(i) and (iv) of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009 read with section 5 and 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. 2.

After some hearing, respective counsel for the parties are in agreement that it would be apposite if the appellate authority is directed to expeditiously decide the Appeal No. 777/2023 which is pending before it, preferably within a period of three months from today.
