The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent nos.1 to 4 and 5 to protect the life of the petitioners.
The petitioners also pray that adequate security personnel be provided for protecting them.

The petitioners claim that they have been receiving threats from respondent nos. 5 to 14 and are apprehensive about their safety. The learned ASC appearing for the State states that there are cross FIRs and an FIR has also been lodged against petitioner nos.1 to 3. This Court is of the view that
the allegations made by the petitioners requires to be examined and if it is assessed that the petitioners are in danger, the respondent authorities are required to provide necessary protection.

It is, accordingly, directed that the allegation made by the petitioners will be examined and the threat perception be assessed. The respondents are further directed to provide such protection as they consider necessary, upon assessment of the threat perception.

The SHO, PS Khajuri Khas and the SHO, PS Sonia Vihar shall also ensure that the petitioners are provided a mobile number on which they or any other responsible officer can be reached in case of any emergency. 6.
It is clarified that nothing stated in the said order would be read in any manner so as to influence the investigation or to impede any precipitate or coercive action that the official respondents consider necessary in respect of the petitioner nos.1 to 3.

The petition is allowed in the aforesaid terms. 8.
