The present application seeks grant of interim bail for a period of 90 days on medical grounds, in the proceedings emanating from FIR No. 286/2020 dated 24th November 2020, registered under Sections 186, 353, 307 and 34 of IPC along with Sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act, 1959 at P.S. Special Cell.

The Applicant had submitted that he was not receiving adequate medical treatment in jail and that his health condition was deteriorating. Taking note of the same, this Court, vide order dated 15th July 2025, had directed the concerned Jail Superintendent to ensure that the Applicant is examined by specialists at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences ('AIIMS') and to submit a report in that regard. Pursuant to the aforesaid directions, a report has been received from the Registry and is taken on record. The Applicant has been examined by experts from both the ENT and Surgery departments at AIIMS. The OPD cards annexed with the report do not indicate any immediate requirement for surgery. As per the OPD records, the Applicant has received appropriate treatment and has also been advised follow-up consultations. 4.

In view of the above, and considering that the Applicant is also involved in other criminal cases, including those under Section 302 of IPC, is categorised as a high-risk prisoner, and his conduct in jail has been reported as unsatisfactory, the prayer for interim bail on medical grounds is hereby rejected.

However, it is directed that the Jail Superintendent shall continue to ensure that the Applicant receives treatment at AIIMS and is provided all necessary medical care and medicines, in accordance with law. 6.
