None appears for the petitioner. The record shows that the petitioner has not filed any rejoinder despite time being granted to him since 10.12.2019.
2.
From the record, we find that the petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of benefits under the ACP Scheme from 20.07.2005 as also benefits under MACP Scheme w.e.f. 01.01.2006. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioner was correctly not granted the benefit of ACP Scheme in 2005 as he was not meeting the prescribed benchmark for promotion. Further, the MACP Scheme in itself was implemented w.e.f. 01.09.2008 and therefore, the petitioner‟s claim for grant of MACP w.e.f. 01.09.2008 was wholly misplaced.
3.
In the light of this stand taken by the respondents though we are not expressing any opinion on merits, it appears that the petitioner is no longer interested in pursuing the writ petition. The same is, accordingly, dismissed in default and for non-prosecution.
