The present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Cr.P.C.) has been filed by the Petitioner for quashing FIR No.81/2012 dated 10.09.2012, registered at Police Station Maurice Nagar for offences punishable under Sections 420/467/468/471/120B IPC. 2.
When the learned Counsel for the Petitioner confronted with the fact that the FIR makes out the offences and there are statements made under Section 161 Cr.P.C by the Principal of the College implicating the Petitioner, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to raise all the contentions, including the contentions raised in the instant petition before the Competent Court at an appropriate stage.

Permission and liberty, as sought for, are granted. 4.

petition is pending before this Court. However, it is to be noted that the instant petition has been filed in the year 2022 and there has been no progress in the trial even for a period of 10 years. 5.
The FIR was registered in the year 2012 and the chargesheet was also filed in the year 2012. It appears that no substantial progress has taken place in the trial. Looking into the fact that more than 12 years have passed after filing of the chargesheet and no substantial progress has taken placed, the Ld. Trial Court is requested to expedite the process of trial. 6.
The petition is disposed of as withdrawn, along with pending application(s), if any. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observations on the merits of the case.

Liberty is granted to the Petitioner to approach this Court in case there is no substantial progress in the trial.
