The instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr.P.C.') has been filed on behalf of petitioner issuance of a writ/order/direction in the nature of mandamus thereby directing/commanding/requiring the respondent to consider the name of the petitioner for premature release and release him from prison.

Vide last order dated 30.11.2023, this Court had dismissed the application filed by petitioner seeking exemption from surrendering on 02.12.2023, and liberty was given to the petitioner to move fresh application for parole/furlough and for making representation before SRB for considering his case for premature release.
