The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No.464/2017 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC) and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered with PS Samaypur Badli and all other proceedings emanating therefrom be quashed.

The petitioners state that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 (Smt Najmeen) have settled their matrimonial disputes and they are now living together.

A settlement agreement has also been placed on record which indicates that petitioner no.1 had agreed to pay a sum of ₹30,000/- to respondent no.2.

Respondent no.2 is present in the Court.

She is identified by the

concerned Investigation Officer. She states that she has already received a sum of ₹30,000/- and has no grievance against the petitioners. She also states that she is living with petitioner no.1 satisfactorily. The petitioners are also present in the Court and state that they have no grievance against respondent no.2.

In view of the above, the FIR No.464/2017 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered with PS Samaypur Badli and all proceeding emanating therefrom, are quashed.

Petitioner nos.1 to 5, 8 and 9 are present in the Court and they have been identified by their counsel.

The petitioners who are present in the Court shall sign this order as an acknowledgment of their statement that they have no grievance against respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 shall also sign this order as an acknowledgment of her statement recorded herein. 6.
