The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Cr.P.C), seeking issuance of directions to the respondent nos. 1 to 3 to provide necessary police protection/security and safety to the petitioners and petitioner no.2's minor son, who are apprehending danger to their life and liberty at the hands of family of petitioner no.1. 2.

Vide order dated 5th June, 2024 Notice was issued in the present petition and interim protection was granted to the petitioners. 3.

Status Report has been handed over in the court and same is taken on record.

The Status Report notes that the petitioner no. 1 has left the house of her parents in Govind Puri from 13th June, 2024 and is now residing in Faridabad, Haryana.

In the event that the petitioners are in Delhi and they perceive any threat from the family of petitioner no.1, they shall communicate the same to the concerned Investigating Officer, who shall take steps to provide security/protection to the petitioners.
