These are the petitions filed under section 29 A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of one year.

The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 21.05.2025. 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the delay in concluding the arbitral proceedings occurred on account of the fact that the issue involved is complex in nature, voluminous record and the parties are family members. 7.

For the said reasons, Issue notice. Mr. Shivek Trehan, learned counsel for the respondent(s) accepts notice and has no objection to the extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal, without prejudice to his rights and contentions in the arbitration and without admitting any averment made in the present petitions.

I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown in the present petitions. Thus, the petitions are allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of one year from today. 9.

The period from 21.05.2025 till date stands regularized. 10.

It is made clear that nothing stated in the present petitions is admitted by the respondents and the mandate is extended without prejudice to the legal rights and contentions of the respondents.

Accordingly, the present petitions stand disposed of.
