% 30.05.2025 I.A. No.14571/2025 The application is infructuous and disposed of. O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 467/2025 1.
The present petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('Act of 1996') for extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of six (6) months. 2.
It is stated that pursuant to the dispute which arose between the parties a Sole Arbitrator was appointed by this Court vide order dated 15.12.2023 passed in O.M.P (T) (COMM) 01/2023.

It is stated that this Court vide order dated 23.12.2024 passed in OMP(MISC)(COMM) 1010/2024 extended the mandate of the said Arbitral Tribunal w.e.f. 26.09.2024 until 30.06.2025.

It is stated that since the parties were exploring mediation, the final arguments could not happen before the Sole Arbitrator. It is stated that The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. therefore, the final arguments are yet to be heard by the Sole Arbitrator and vide order dated 19.05.2025, the Sole Arbitrator has scheduled the arbitration proceedings to be held on 26.08.2025 and 29.08.2025. 5.
It is stated that Petitioner, exercising abundant caution, has approached this Court vide the captioned petition to consider extending the mandate of Arbitral Tribunal for final arguments of the parties and passing of award by the Arbitral Tribunal.

Issue notice. Mr. Karan Prakash, Advocate enters appearance. He states that Respondent has objection to the relief sought in the present petition.

Having considered the averments made in the petition, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for passing an arbitral award is extended w.e.f. 01.07.2025 till 01.01.2026. 8.
The parties are directed cooperate with the Arbitral Tribunal in concluding the final arguments in a time bound manner so that the award can be passed within the extended time period. 9.
The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
