O R D E R

% 09.02.2018 By this petition, the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that his father has passed away. The petitioner was granted furlough by the competent authority with effect from 25th January, 2018. Unfortunately his father passed away on 30th January, 2018 and after the expiry of the period of two weeks of furlough the petitioner is required to surrender to custody on 10th February, 2018.

A status report has been handed over by learned APP which is taken on record. As per the status report the factum of death of the petitioner's father has been verified. The nominal roll has also been handed over which is taken on record. As per the nominal roll the petitioner has been granted regular parole and furloughs and there is no allegation that at the time of grant of parole/furlough he has ever misused the condition or surrendered late.

Considering the facts verified this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner for a period of three weeks w.e.f 10th February, 2018 on the same terms and conditions as imposed by the competent authority while granting furlough to the petitioner w.e.f. 26th January, 2018. Petition is disposed of.
