The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent no.1 to afford the petitioners protection against the relatives of petitioner no.1, arrayed as respondent nos.2 to 6. The petitioners claim that they have attained the age of majority and they have since married. It is stated that the said marriage was against the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.1 and they are displeased by the relationship. Respondent nos.2 to 6 had also assaulted petitioner no.2. 2.

The petitioners are apprehensive about their safety and have, therefore, approached this Court.

In view of the averments made in the present petition, this Court considers it apposite to direct PS Khajuri Khas to examine the allegations of the petitioner and afford the petitioners such protection as considered necessary.

The SHO concerned shall provide a contact number of a responsible official/beat constable from the said station who could be contacted by the petitioners in case of any emergency.

No further orders are required to be passed in the said petition. The same is disposed of.
