The petitioner seeks to challenge the order dated 20.07.2023 passed by the respondent no.1-authority, denying permission to the petitioner to undertake employment in the British High Commission. 2.

It appears that in June 2022, a work opportunity was advertised by the British High Commission in India for the post of country-based entry clearance officer. The petitioner applied for the said post and was selected for the same.

The petitioner, who is an overseas citizen of India, was required to obtain special permission from the Union of India before joining the said post.

have been assigned for rejection of the petitioner's application. The same, therefore, could have been set aside on the aforesaid short ground. However, with the passage of time, it appears that the employment opportunity which the petitioner was pursuing may not be available anymore. 5.

If the petitioner has applied afresh for such permission, let the same be considered in accordance with law. The order dated 20.07.2023 should not be a reason for rejection of the petitioner's application. 6.

All rights and contentions are left open.

Petition stands disposed of.
