The petitioner has filed the present petition impugning an order dated 10.01.2018, passed by the Medical Council of India (MCI). It is pointed out by Mr Singhdev, learned counsel appearing for the MCI, that the impugned order had confirmed the recommendations of the Ethics Committee which was made in respect of two other doctors as well, namely, Dr. Manish Gupta and Dr. V.K. Sehdev. 2.

It is pointed out that Dr. Manish Gupta had also filed a similar writ petition (W.P.(C) 607/2018), impugning the decision of the MCI which, in turn, was based on the decision of the Ethics Committee. The said writ petition was disposed of by an order dated 24.01.2018, whereby, the matter was remanded to the MCI and in the meanwhile, it was directed

that the order dated 23.10.2017, passed by the Delhi Medical Council, be stayed.

In view of the above, the present petition is also disposed of in the similar terms. The petitioner's appeal is placed on the record of the MCI to consider afresh. In the meanwhile, the order dated 23.10.2017 passed by Delhi Medical Council, is stayed.

It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the contentions advanced by the petitioner and the same would be considered by the MCI in the first instance. 5.

The pending application stands disposed of.
