The relief sought in the instant writ petition is to quash the impugned notification dated 14.09.2023 issued by Returning Officer of the respondent college, whereby, the candidature of the petitioner for the post of President in the Student's Union Elections 2023-24 was rejected. 2.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent college submits that the election in question for the year 2023-24 was already conducted as per the impugned notification and thereafter, even a fresh notification for the year 2024-25 has been announced.

The Court, therefore, finds that the relief prayed for in the instant writ petition has rendered infructuous.

If the petitioner in the instant petition has any grievance with respect to the present election, the petitioner shall be at liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law.
