The petitioner/wife is preferring this petition under Sections 2 (B) and 12 read with Section 10 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent No.1/husband, respondent No.2/mother-in-law, respondent No.3/brother-in-law and respondent No.4/sister-in-law. 5.
None appeared on behalf of the respondents despite sending advance notice.

between the parties and they started cohabiting together, it is alleged that the petitioner has again been a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her husband/respondent No.1 and his other family members. 7.
Be that as it may, the present contempt petition is not maintainable. The petitioner has appropriate remedy to seek relief before the competent forum under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 as also other analogous laws. 8.
In view of the above, the present contempt petition is dismissed as not maintainable, without prejudice.
