O R D E R

% 07.02.2018 Crl.M.A.2340/2018 (exemption) Exemption is allowed subject to all just exceptions. 1.

The petitioner is aggrieved by order dated 01.02.2018, whereby, the proceedings on the application of the petitioner seeking permission to travel abroad were deferred to 27.02.2018, consequent to an application filed by the petitioner to place on record additional documents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that by an application dated 05.12.2017, the petitioner had sought permission to travel abroad to several countries for the purpose of business ventures. The application was allowed partly by order dated 08.12.2017 and the

Court permitted the petitioner to travel to UAE and UK during the period 10.12.2017 to 04.01.2018.

The Court, by the said order, deferred consideration of the prayer to travel to other countries and directed the petitioner to furnish requisite documents/particulars with regard to the purpose/object of his visit to these places.

By the subject application, the petitioner sought to produce before the Court documents/particulars with regard to the purpose/object of his visit, as was directed by order dated 08.12.2017.

The Trial Court on the said application to place on record additional materials deferred the consideration till 27.02.2018. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the meetings have been scheduled with the prospective business partners between 07.02.2018 to 08.03.2018.

However, he submits that an endeavour will be made to reschedule the dates by a week or ten days. 5.

Insofar as the application to place on record additional material is concerned, it is seen that the same is pursuant to the directions issued on 08.12.2017 by the Court requiring the petitioner to place on record documents/particulars with regard to the purpose/object of his visits.

In view of the order dated 08.12.2017, the application is allowed. The documents filed before the Trial Court along with this application are directed to be taken on record before the Trial Court.

Since the proposal of the petitioner was to travel from 07.02.2018, the application dated 05.02.2017 shall be listed before the Trial Court for consideration on 12.02.2018.

In the meantime, the respondent CBI is directed to verify the documents/particulars furnished by the petitioner and file an appropriate reply/status report before the Trial Court on 12.02.2018. 9.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. 10.
