O R D E R
% 27.11.2019 Petitioner No.1 is the wife and petitioner No.2 is the husband, who have married each other against the wishes of their families and are apprehending danger to their lives at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7, who are parents and brothers of petitioner No.1. Vide this petition a direction is sought to respondent/State to provide protection to their lives. Learned Standing Counsel for respondent/State informs that petitioners are not residing at the given address. Learned counsel for petitioners submits that, out of threat, petitioners have been staying out of Delhi but they wish to reside in Delhi and, therefore, seek protection.
Learned Standing Counsel for respondent/State submits that as and when petitioners will provide their residential address of Delhi in writing, protection would be provided to them.
Respondents No.4 to 7 are also present in the Court and they submit that they have not extended any threat to petitioners and petitioners can happily live wherever they want and they would not interfere in their lives and liberty.
In view of the above, learned counsel for petitioners does not press this petition.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly. BRIJESH SETHI, J NOVEMBER 27, 2019 ssc
