% 07.02.2017 C.M.No.4905/2017 (exemptions) Allowed subject to all just exceptions.

LPA No.102/2017 1.

This appeal is preferred against the following order of the learned Single Judge dated 16.01.2017 in C.M.No.1585/2017 in W.P.(C) No.3314/2016:- "Issue Notice.

Counsel for the non-applicants/respondent No.1/UOI and respondent No.2 accept notice and seek time to file replies. Replies be filed within two weeks with copies to the other side.

Rejoinders, if any, be filed within two weeks thereafter.

List on 02.03.2017."

2.

We have heard the learned counsel for both the parties. In C.M.No.1585/2017, the appellant/writ petitioner sought a direction to allow

the appellant to organize the National and Inter-State Carrom Championship tournaments. As could be seen, the learned Single Judge by the order under appeal granted two weeks time to enable the non-applicants to file their reply and the matter is directed to be listed on 02.03.2017. 3.

Mr.V.D.Narayan, the General Secretary of the petitioner Federation who appeared in person states that since minimum 60-70 days time is required to get ready for conducting the events, the application needs to be decided at the earliest failing which the petition itself would be rendered infructuous.

4.

Though the period of two weeks granted by the learned Single Judge has already expired, it appears that the respondents/non-applicants are yet to file the response in C.M.No.1585/2017. Sh.Bhagwan Swarup Shukla, the learned CGSC undertakes to file the response in terms of the order of the learned Single Judge by 10.02.2017.

5.

We, therefore, direct that C.M.No.1585/2017 be listed before the learned Single Judge on 13.02.2017 for directions. We request the learned Single Judge to hear both the parties and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law.

6.

The appeal is, accordingly, disposed of CHIEF JUSTICE SANGITA DHINGRA SEHGAL, J FEBRUARY 07, 2017/'anb'
