The Petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:
"a. Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ(s), order(s), direction(s) directing the respondents to expeditiously dispose of, preferably within two weeks, the appeal filed more than almost eight years ago on 23.06.2017 under s. 246A of the Income-tax Act, 1961 for Assessment Year 2011-12;"
