The present writ petition has been filed for issuing directions to respondent nos. 1 and 2 to immediately stop the ongoing construction at property no. DD-31, Nehru Enclave, Kalkaji Extension, New Delhi-110019, being undertaken by respondent nos. 5 to 8.

Per contra, learned counsel for respondent no.

1-Municipal Corporation of Delhi ("MCD"), on advance notice, submits that construction in the property, is as per the Sanctioned Building Plan. 5.

However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that safety norms are not being followed at the time of construction. 6.

Accordingly, MCD is directed to ensure that the construction being carried out by respondent nos. 5 to 8, is in terms of the Sanctioned Building Plan, and in compliance of all the applicable norms for construction. 7.

MCD shall also ensure that construction material is not put on the public street, thereby, hindering the vehicular and pedestrian movement, including, ingress/egress of the petitioner to his property. 8.

With the aforesaid directions, the present petition, along with pending applications, stands disposed of.
