This is a petition u/s 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of 6 months w.e.f. 01.06.2024 for the Arbitral Tribunal to make and publish the award.

Issue notice.Mr. Agarwal, learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and has no objection to the petition.

It is stated that the dispute involves complex issues, five hearings have already taken place and some more are required. 4.

For the said reasons, I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown by the parties for seeking extension of time. 5.

The petition is allowed and a further period of 6 months is granted to the Arbitral Tribunal to conclude the proceedings and make and publish the award w.e.f. 01.06.2024.

The petition is allowed and disposed of.
