The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to decide the Representations dated 25th July, 2024, and 11th April, 2025, and consequently direct the respondent no. 2 to install the electricity connection in property of the petitioner, situated at C-7A, First Floor, JVTS Garden, Chhattarpur Extension, New Delhi-110074. 2.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has applied for electricity connection. However, the present writ petition has been filed, since the Representations dated 25th July, 2024 and 11th April, 2025 by the petitioner, have not been decided. 3.

It is submitted that respondent no.1, i.e., Municipal Corporation of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Delhi ("MCD"), has till date not confirmed that the subject premises has not been booked by them.

It is submitted that the premises belonging to petitioner is an old construction, and no fresh construction is being done in the said premises. It is submitted that the property, which is booked is a new building situated at C-7, JVTS Garden, Chhattarpur Extension, New Delhi-110074 and not the premises of the petitioner.

It is submitted that the petitioner had applied for an electricity connection with the respondent no. 2 for the subject premises. The respondent no. 2 had raised an objection that the adjoining property, i.e., C7, JVTS Garden, Chhattarpur Extension, New Delhi, had been booked by MCD. Therefore, no electricity connection can be provided to the petitioner. It is submitted that the petitioner requested the respondent no. 2 to confirm from the respondent no. 1 that the subject premises has never been booked. 6.

It is further submitted that the aforesaid Representations of the petitioner have still not been decided.

Thus, the present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to decide the Representations of the petitioner. 8.

Responding to the present petition, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.1 submits that the respondent no. 1 shall carry out joint inspection with respondent no. 2, for the purposes of assessing as to whether the property of the petitioner, has been booked for unauthorized construction or not.

Accordingly, it is directed that the respondent no. 1, along with respondent no. 2, shall carry out a joint inspection of the property of the petitioner, i.e., C-7A, First Floor, JVTS Garden, Chhattarpur Extension, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

New Delhi-110074. The MCD shall assess as to whether the property of the petitioner has been booked for unauthorized construction or not. 10.

The joint inspection shall be carried out by the respondent expeditiously, preferably, within a period of four weeks, from today. 11.

After the joint inspection, appropriate action shall be taken by the respondents, in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition, along with the pending application, stands disposed of.
