MACP scheme, in accordance with the decision of the Apex Court in Civil Appeal No. 2016 of 2020 titled "Union of India & Ors. vs. M.V. Mohanan Nair".
2. In the light of the aforesaid, the writ petitions alongwith pending applications are dismissed as not pressed with liberty, as prayed for. It is further directed that in case representation/representations are made by the petitioners within six weeks from today, the same will be decided by the respondents within twelve weeks from the date of receipt thereof, by passing a reasoned and speaking order.
3. Needless to state, in case the petitioners are aggrieved by any order passed by the respondents, it will be open for them to seek legal recourse, as permissible in law.
