The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, seeking anticipatory bail in connection with FIR No. 132/2019 under Section 326 of the IPC registered at P.S. Vasant Kunj (North), Delhi. 4.

The allegation against the petitioner is that he, along with other persons, had attacked one Parvesh Malik with a sharp object. It is alleged that the petitioner had injured the victim with an ice pick (sua for breaking ice).

The learned APP appearing for the State submits that the petitioner is

absconding. He has avoided the process and summons. It is stated that NonBailable Warrants were issued and now, proceedings for declaring the petitioner as a Proclaimed Offender have been initiated. 6.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was unaware of the same. This Court is not persuaded to accept the same. It is pointed out that the petitioner's bail was rejected on 19.07.2019, thus, at least at that stage the petitioner was fully aware of the proceedings initiated against him.

The petitioner also states that he requires to take practical examinations which are scheduled to be held from 16.09.2019 to 30.09.2019.

This Court does not consider it apposite to accede to the prayers made in this petition, however, it is necessary that adequate arrangements be made for the petitioner to appear for his practical examinations. 9.

In view of the above, it is directed that if the petitioner voluntarily surrenders on or before 14.09.2019, the concerned authorities shall ensure that arrangements are made to enable the petitioner to appear for the said practical examinations.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 11.
