This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 BNSS for providing protection to petitioners. 2.

The learned counsel for petitioners states that both petitioners are major and got married on 22.05.2025 against the wishes of family of petitioner no.1 due to which the father and brother of petitioner no.1 are threatening to kill them.

They are apprehending threat to their life and have therefore prayed for protection.

Issue notice. Notice accepted by learned ASC appearing for respondent no.3 and 4. The learned ASC submits that no complaint has been made to the police. Since no complaint has been filed with the police, let the present petition be treated as a representation to the police. The same may be enquired and appropriate action be taken therein within a week. In the meanwhile, SHO of the area where the petitioners are residing to take adequate steps for ensuring safety and security of petitioners. 6.

The contact details of the beat officer of the area where the petitioners are residing be shared with the petitioners, so that, in case, of any emergency they can contact the beat officer for appropriate action. 7.

With this direction, the petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the court, in case, no action is taken by the police.
